Iran Zinc Mines Development Holding Company was established in 2007 for the purpose of execution of industrial projects. The legal form of the Company is public corporation and offers its shares in the stock market in order to attract participation of public institutions and the public and finally accepted by the Stock Exchange in 2000 and the first share of the Company was displayed on stock market’s board.

The initial object of the Company was production of 100,000 ton zinc ingot and it formed by 18 different companies active in this sector.
The main objectives of the Company:
Establishment of zinc production plants for processing the ore explored from the zinc mines;
Investment and participation in zinc production plants, exploration, exploitation, production, and concentration of ores;
Importation of machinery, equipment, consumables, and spare parts required by the Company from foreign countries and / or their supply from local market, participation in other companies including by means of establishment of a new company and / or purchase of their share capital or subscription for their shares having their field of activity in production, industrial, engineering design, study and research and service provision;
Provision of technical, consulting, industrial, sales and distribution services for the products produced by local or foreign producers;
Engaging in all industrial affairs and operations, financial transactions, receiving loans from banks, export and import of authorized commercial goods;
To act as agent for other local or foreign companies and assign the Company’s agency to them and engage in all commercial operations authorized under Commercial Code and other legislation of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Affiliated Companies
The affiliates of Iran Zinc Mines Development Holding Company are classed as two different categories: production and service provision. The production companies are mainly the producers of lead and zinc concentrates, lead and zinc ingots, lead and zinc alloys and acids and chemicals required by those plants. The service providers provide services in connection with exploration, commercial, technical and engineering, investment, coring, … operations and services.
The mina production companies participated in Iran Zinc Mines Development Holding Company are: Calcimin, Gheshm Zinc Smelting and Reduction Company, Bafgh Zinc Smelting Company, Bandar Abbas Zinc Production Company, Iran Minerals Processing Company, Iran Zinc Production Company and Catalyst Parsian Chemicals Company. The mentioned companies produce zinc concentrate and ingot, lead concentrate, and the aid required for zinc production, supply the raw materials needed in processing
processes of the industry.
Among service providers taking part in Iran Zinc Mines Development Holding Company are Sanat Zangan Zinc Company, Angouran Miners Company, Zinc Industry Development Trading Company, Andisheh Mehvaran Trading Company, Non-Iron Metals Engineering and Research Company, Angouran Lead and Zinc Managers Company, Alpha Machine Pouya Company, Northeast Shahrood Industrial and Mining Company and Jam Omid Alborz Company.

Exploration Operations
For the purpose of attainment to the predetermined targets and supply of feeds needed by about 30 small and large scales zinc producers in a long term, Iran Zinc Mines Development Holding Company has launched significant effort on exploration of mines and new reserves of zinc. In this field, we have started some exploration operations in a part of the country which covers an area equal to 4,000 km2. The area covers sites in Zanjan, Kordestan, West and East Azerbaijan provinces. The exploration operations are undertaken by two companies:  Angouran Miners Company and Angouran Lead and Zinc Managers Company.

Products of Iran Zinc Mines Development Holding Company
Asidsazan Zanjan and Roeen Karan Alvand are the two of our affiliates working on acid production and became the most important acid producers in Iran. The annual production capacity of each of the companies is 70,000 ton (totally 140,000 ton). In addition, Bafgh Zinc Smelting Company produces 50,000 ton / year acid.
The concentrate production capacity of Iran Zinc Mines Development Holding Company is 298,000 ton which is mainly produced by Calcimin Company. In addition Bandar Abbas Zinc Production Company works with annual capacity of 19,000 ton. Other produces are Gheshm Zinc Smelting and Reduction Company in Hormozgan Province (24,000 ton / year), Iran National Lead and Zinc Company (15,000 ton / year zinc and 40,000 ton lead), Bafgh Zinc Smelting Company (30,000 ton zinc ingot / year), and Iran Minerals Processing Company (16,000 ton / year zinc) which altogether produce around 139,000 zinc ingot per year.
The nominal annual production capacityof Iran lead and zinc company is 40,000 ton under license of Swiss Boliden and Danish Mansmann companies.
The lead plants of Iran Zinc Mines Development Holding Company are equipped with complete set of pollution protection equipment. Also Iranian National Lead and Zinc Company is one of the pioneers in the field of production of industrial alloys of lead and zinc including soft lead ingot with 99.99% purity grade as well as lead-silver alloy, tin-lead –antimony alloys. In addition the HG lead ingot with above 99.95% purity grade is produced by this plant. In addition Iran Minerals Processing Company owns the technology of production of zinc from the mineral dump instead of concentrate which is a good potential for zinc production in the country.
Furthermore,  Northeast Shahrood Industrial and Mining Company has established coal washing plant with 600,000 ton / year in Semnan Province at km 35 of Shahrood – Azadshahr Road. This is the only coal producer of private sector in the country. Also, Jam Omid Alborz Company, another affiliate of this Holding, has different drilling facilities and is one of the capable companies in the field of drilling, coring, drilling deep wells, and mine exploration. This Company is active in some large mines including Sangan, Mouteh Isfahan, Tabas, Jajarm Alumina, and Gol Gohar Sirjan.
